It's was all about friendship at the 36th annual Texas Folklife Festival held June 8-10, 2007 at UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures in downtown San Antonio. The event offered fun, food and friendship as visitors celebrated the rich cultural heritage of over 40 groups who have made the Lone Star State the melting pot that it is today.

We want to thank everyone who attended the three day event and hope you all had an opportunity to meet new friends and reconnect with old friends. We are especially grateful to you for your interest in cultural diversity and preserving traditions; to our participants whose commitment never ceases; to our generous sponsors whose faith and financial support helps to ensure the festival continues; and to our visitors who make it all possible.

The dust has barely settled but we are already looking forward to the 2008 Festival. We invite you to visit us again next year to enjoy the richness of the diverse cultures through delicious food, great music, graceful dance and distinctive crafts. It is our differences that make us unique, but our commonalities that bring us together.
