Now in its 34th year, the Texas Folklife Festival is the University of Texas Institute of Texan Cultures at San Antonio’s signature event and the fun begins on Thursday, June 9, and continues through Sunday, June 12, 2005.

This annual celebration of the Lone Star state’s ethnic strength, rich cultural heritage and dynamic pioneering spirit is a four-day, fun-filled extravaganza featuring over 150 delectable dishes created by more than 40 ethnicities, 60 talented arts and craft vendors, storytellers, hands-on activities, artisan demonstrations, competitions, carnival rides, 10 outdoor stages presenting Texas’ finest musical entertainers and ethnic dancers and so much more!

Because organizing this event is a big responsibility, the Texas Folklife Festival counts on generous support from the community to ensure our citizens understand the importance of diversity—and that we are all more similar than different. Sponsorship Packages

  • Named Sponsorships – The Texas Folklife Festival offers an assortment of named sponsorship opportunities ranging from entertainment stages, specific tents and booths to kids events among others. Sponsorship packages begin at $1,000 to $50,000, offering something for every budget.
    The following companies and corporations are just a few of the TFF’s generous sponsors: Ozarka Spring Water, H-E-B, Miller Beer, Frost Bank, Budweiser Beer, Wells Fargo Bank, International Bank of Commerce, and Dixie Flag Manufacturing Company.
  • Adopt-A-Participant – More than 10,000 people come from across the state to participate in the TFF each year. Because we are unable to pay these kind and talented people for their time, we provide them with housing at downtown hotels. The TFF offers companies an opportunity to underwrite the participant’s visit by “adopting” them for four days. These corporate sponsorship packages range from $250 to $5,000.
  • Festival Friends – Companies and corporations are invited to join the Festival Friends Program, which supports the TFF’s operating budget. Your company may choose from various levels of support—$25 to $500, all of which help to further the community’s cultural diversity. For more information on Festival Friends, please click here.
  • Grab Bags – Would you like to feature your product or service to the visitors? The Texas Folklife Festival welcomes donations of all types for grab bags. Examples of donations include t-shirts, caps, mugs, gift certificates, coupons and other promotional materials. These grab bags are sold to the visitors and serve to heighten their awareness of TFF’s valuable partners, as well as provide a new source of revenue for the event.

Attendance Demographics

People of all ages, socio-economic backgrounds and ethnicities attend the Texas Folklife Festival. Visitors come from Bexar County area and the surrounding areas, other cities in Texas, the United States and around the world, while the average visitor is a professional between the ages of 31-40.

Participants include 10,000 individuals representing 260 organizations and more than 40 ethnic communities. Additionally, there are approximately 2,500 civic volunteers from over 60 counties in Texas.

Certainly, when you become a TFF corporate sponsor, your products and/or services are seen by a broad demographic base, thereby positively impacting your visibility, image and brand awareness—all in one effort.
