Mrs. Leona D. Persyn,
trucker and saleswoman, unloads produce at the Terminal Market.
Her day begins at 3:45 a.m. when she prepares to start for the produce market
in San Antonio
to deliver produce raised by her and her husband, Rene Persyn,
on their 72-acre irrigated farm off Somerset Road.
Vegetables are carefully arranged on the truck the night before.
Mrs. Persyn remains at the market until 8 or 9 a.m., then returns home to
clean house,
water plants, and prepare dinner. Published February 1, 1953, San Antonio
