Speakers' Bureau

The Speaker's Bureau increases awareness of the Institute and its many activities among audiences in the San Antonio area. Special arrangements can be made for other areas throughout Texas. Topics include Institute operations, educational programs, volunteers, the exhibit development process, research for exhibits, library research, the Academy of Learning in Retirement (A.L.I.R.) Program, and the Texas Folklife Festival. Coordinated by the Communications and Marketing Department, the bureau accepts requests for speeches, determines the proper person for the occasion, and assists in making necessary arrangements for the appearance.

To request a speaker, contact the Speakers Bureau Coordinator at (210) 458-2257.

The Tex-Kit Program

Tex-Kits (itc_texkit_brochure.pdf) incorporate a wide range of topics and include an array of touchable objects. By emphasizing audience involvement, Tex-Kits bring the heritage of Texas to life in a personal way.
