UTSA TO SPONSOR REGIONAL HISTORY FAIR

(San Antonio)— Teachers, parents and students – mark your calendars! The Regional History Fair will be March 28 and 29 at The University of Texas at San Antonio 1604 Campus.

More than 350 San Antonio area students qualifying in district competitions will participate in the event.  Project categories include individual and group documentary/media, performances, papers and exhibits in junior and senior categories related to this year’s theme, “Rights and Responsibilities in History.” 

The UTSA Tri-Campus community and the San Antonio Regional History Fair Committee, comprised of history coordinators from area school districts, will host the competition.  A total of $5,000 in savings bonds donated by the San Antonio Area Foundation and the Bexar County Historical Society will be distributed among first and second place winners.  Winners will compete at the State History Fair in Austin in May.
