Cynthia Ann lived with the Comanches for almost 25 years. She married a chief and was the mother of Quanah Parker. In 1860 she was again captured, this time by Texas Rangers, who were surprised to find a white woman among their hostages. She was identified by her uncle, who had never given up hope of her return. Cynthia Ann never reintegrated into white society. Quanah and Cynthia Ann Parker are buried at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. |
