Conjunto Curator exhibition by Arturo Almeida. Conjunto examines the rich Mexican American roots of the musical style through paintings, photographs, and sculptures of musicians, instruments, and dancers. Featured San Antonio artists include artists including Ricky Armendariz, Cris Escobar, Jacinto Guevara, Luis Guerrero, Luis Jimenez, Al Rendon, Ed Saavedra, Armando Sanchez and Guillermina Zabala. Conjunto ison display at the first floor gallery of UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures. The exhibit is free and open to the public, and does not include admission to the museum's main exhibit floor. |
