Entertainment The Institute of Texan Cultures is the perfect location for parties, meetings, and events for groups of 15 to 4,000+ guests. The museum's one-of-a-kind setting will make your event special! Let us be that special venue. The museum is located in downtown San Antonio, a short distance from the Alamo and the Riverwalk, in HemisFair Park beneath the Tower of the Americas and adjacent to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The Cultural Extravaganza Show The Texas Folklife Festival is the museum's annual signature event that showcases the diverse ethnic communities of Texas. Some of the same entertainment that the museum features at the Folklife festival is available in The Cultural Extravaganza Show — a performance your guests will truly enjoy. The show is approximately 20 minutes in length but can be tailored to your needs. While the availability of a particular group cannot be guaranteed, we do guarantee a performance that features the diversity of the ethnic communities in the great state of Texas. The show will include 3-4 of the following groups: Cloggers that put on an energizing performance The show is performed on a stage 22" off the floor level so your guests will have a perfect view! Sound and lighting will also be included and produced by the museum audiovisual staff. Supplemental Entertainment Local bands may also be contracted but are not included in the Cultural Extravaganza show and are priced separately.
